Building a strong future for our nation requires fostering every mind to reach its full potential. STEM leagues are great ways of educating our youth through fun, interactive, hands-on game.
But, there are problems with current STEM leagues.
First, the entry costs associated with hardware and custom playing fields pose a barrier for underprivileged communities and the required team sizes may be too large, making it challenging to engage in meaningful hands-on learning experiences.
Second, the majority focus exclusively on robotics. Though robotics provides a good multidisciplinary intersection between electronics, software engineering, and fabrication, there’s so much more to learn! The next generation will need to contend with energy science, geopolitics, cognitive computing, cyber, and optimizing resource management all while becoming more creative in their thinking.
We need a league that fosters cross-discipline growth in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, Political, and Social Sciences - STEAMPoSS. A league that provides open hardware designs and low to no-cost playing fields.
Intelligent Artifacts built Wargames League to create equitable and affordable approaches to STEAMPoSS learning, drawing from multiple disciplines where students can create, collaborate, construct, and participate in tournaments and games that test approaches that our future leaders will need to create a safe and prosperous world. Wargames League enables participants to build out advanced solutions that can work in autonomous vehicles, farming, mining, energy production, cyber warfare, C2, intelligence gathering, and other relevant domains.
The world’s problems are becoming more complex. Our next generation will need math, science, and engineering expertise. But they will also need the social skills and collaborative mindsets required to build solutions that spark positive global transformation. The objective of Wargames League is to give this generation all the skills and experience they need to build a peaceful future, free of war. Because real war doesn’t allow do-overs.
